During World War II my grandfather Frank was a Second Lt. in the U. S. Army. He trained for participation in the D-Day Invasion of France, but at the last moment was transferred to be an artillery instructor. This photo was taken while he was in Yuma, Arizona in April 1944.
This is a picture of granddad in 1974, I believe still in Trenton, New Jersey. I think it might have been taken in a precinct office, but it could have been almost anywhere. (There was what looked like a precinct map on the wall, and he had been active in local Republican politics.
