Among the discarded artistic renderings, mostly sketches, that Chimo threw away after bringing some of his artwork back from school on Friday, I discovered this tiny drawing of a goose smelling a flower, and I really liked it. So I cut it out and put it in my billfold. It is only about an inch square.

FIREFLIES
On Tuesday night Dr. Layman hosted a buffet and game for the LPP crew at the new stadium on the old mental health grounds on Bull Street, now home to the Columbia Fireflies, an affiliate of the New York Mets. Here are a couple pics of the boys enjoying the game.

MINING
Joey and Chimo joined their fellow scouts in Franklin, North Carolina for a bit of gem mining (not to mention a little demolition derby as well), and apparently they had a good time. Here are a couple shots culled from Troop 324's web posts.

BETH AND PAUL
Probably taken mid 1980s or so, Bet and Paul in the kitchen at the Keystone Lake home. But probably photoshopped, because, really? Paul washing dishes? :)
SISTERS
A picture of my sisters taken a few years back, maybe in Georgia. Beth, stop torturing that poor pumpkin!

DAD & SHARON'S WEDDING
A couple of shots from their marriage, the ceremony and party held on Lake Keystone. Paul appears in the bottom picture, far left, and I think the little girl may be Illiana, but not sure.

ELLIOT AND THE UNTOUCHABLES
Last night Chimo and I attended the Elliott and the Untouchables concert in West Columbia at the Rhythm on the River series. Beautiful night. Blues is not my favorite music, but it is nice to hear every so often. Big crowd, probably around 500 people, I think. Kathy and Joe Merlette, and his sister Ada, were there. Chimo said he enjoyed the concert. He sat behind me and took this picture.

JULIE'S WEDDING
I was in South Carolina when my neighbor and high school classmate got married. Here are two pictures from Julie Wachtler's wedding to Mark Calandro in December 1993. She is dancing with her stepfather Dick Wachtler in the first picture.
BOB
Undated (probably 1993) photo of Uncle Bob and a cousin from Ukraine, Bohdan Kotliarchuk, obviously at an airport. Apparently my dad and they took a small plane up and flew around over the Chesapeake.
FAMILY 1993
My Mom died in 1992. Although I have no recollection of this gathering, apparently on 7 August 1992 after her funeral, here is the Tidd family at Keystone house: (seated) Aunt Marijka (mom's sister), Dad, Falon, Justin, Bobbie, Perry; (standing), me, Paul, Patty, Beth, and Steve.
DAD 1993
Glamour shot!
In one of his favorite places in the world, Keene Valley, on top of Noonmark Mountain.
On a date with his soon-to-be-bride, Sharon Beausoleil in December.

BOWLING
Haven't been bowling for around thirty years, but hung out and threw the rock a few times with my colleagues at Layman Poupard this last Wednesday. There was a picture of me, thankfully not revealing my athletic prowess or score (dismal, both). Standing behind me is Kevin Kyzer, and sitting is Jacob Booth.

DAD (1992)
Dad dressed up to attend a wedding of family friends, December 1992. Not bad for almost 58 years old. Tidd men may not be the most attractive bunch (me probably least of all of them), but we do seem to have some gene that makes us look younger than we are.
MOM (1992)
This shot of my mom is possibly the last time she was caught on camera before she got sick. Taken in front of the Keystone house, with Dad and my Aunt Marijka. The photograph wasn't processed until July, which also makes me think it might be the last one.
GARDEN
These shots were taken around 1993, and show my Uncle Bob and Cousin Vera Ulanowicz in his natural garden near the Chesapeake, at their homestead near Scientist's Cliffs, Maryland.
PAUL'S DUCKY
Not the cutest Shar Pei ever, with some physical deformities as well, but Ducky was a really sweet and lovable pup, owned by Paul and Patty. This photo doesn't do justice.

KOKESHI
My pretty little kokeshi geisha, now named Yulia, in honor of my friend who sent it after her visit to Japan.
WALLS
Mostly putting these up for my siblings, a memory of our primary home, the one we spent the most time in, on Keystone Lake.
ALEX (1993)
Some more shots of my uncle Alex Rybalkin.
With two relatives in Ukraine.
The notation says this is taken near Moscow. Not sure what he was gathering.
Staged shot in Donetsk (where I think he was originally from), playing as a coal inspector.

DAD & THE SCHMIDTS
Dad with his stepdaughter, Kelly Beausoleil Schmidt and her husband Doug (if it isn't her husband, I am going to be in big trouble).
