SCOUT-O-RAMA

Every year our council held a gathering of troops to put on exhibits for the people in the area, usually held out in Plant City, on their fairgrounds. We sold tickets to the event for $1, and I think some of the proceeds went to the troops and the rest to the council. I don't think they are held any more, but they were a lot of of fun. Especially the lashed bridges and other structures, and exhibits of Native American dancing and Scouting skills. I really enjoyed them. My Dad had to attend, of course, as a professional Scouter. Here are three pics from the 1974 Scout-O-Rama, starting with one of my Dad in his uniform.
