SEAWOLF

I don't know just when my Dad fell in love with the idea of serving aboard submarines, but a likely possibility was in 1958, while still at the Academy, he appears to have spent time on the USS SEAWOLF (SSN 575), an even more advanced vessel than her nuclear predecessor NAUTILUS. I know that midshipmen often served summer cruises aboard ships, for instance Dad was on the USS IOWA for a cruise to the Mediterranean, I think in his senior year. The two pictures appear to be staged, but taken by different cameras or photographers.
